The Certificate of Sephardic Ancestry is a meaningful recognition of verified lineage linking individuals to the historic Sephardic Jewish community. It affirms a deep and personal connection to a proud legacy of peoplehood, faith, culture, and resilience. For many, it serves as a bridge to rediscovered roots and a way to honor the enduring story of their ancestors.

While an important and profound acknowledgement of Sephardic ancestry, this document has no legal or halachic (Jewish legal) ramifications.

How to Apply
Research and certify your Sephardic ancestry
Preliminary Research
Use genealogy expert Genie Milgrom’s videos, guide, and resources to research your past. Make use of the database on GenieMilgrom.com, and other sources.
Become a member
Become a member of the certificate community, register today. Upon registration a questionnaire and the requirements will be sent to your email.
Questionnaire
Complete the questionnaire with all available information including supporting documents, birth certificates, Inquisition reports, death certificates, etc.
Analysis
Your information will be reviewed and analyzed. Some clarification may be requested.
Certification
Upon verification you will receive a certificate in the language that you requested on the questionnaire: English, Spanish, or Portuguese.
